The Training and Placement Cell of PET Engineering College, in academic collaboration with Silicic Innova Technologies, Chennai, successfully inaugurated the 120-Hour Certification Program on 'Domain Specific Training on Embedded Systems' on August 3, 2026, at the IQAC Hall, ECE Block. The program is specifically tailored for undergraduate students of the Electrical and Communication Engineering (ECE) and Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) departments. Dr. K. Swaminathan, CEO of Silicic Innova Technologies and Founder of Silicon VLSI & Embedded System Training Centre, presided as the Chief Guest and Resource Person.
In his address, he highlighted the growing industry demand for skilled embedded engineers and emphasized hands-on expertise in microcontroller programming, real-time operating systems (RTOS), and hardware-software co-design. The presidential address was delivered by Dr. K. Madhan Kumar, Principal of PET Engineering College, who encouraged students to utilize this comprehensive 120-hour practical framework to elevate their technical career prospects. Dr. S. Tharvish Mohideen, Dean - Academics, offered felicitations, stressing the alignment of domain-specific skills with modern industrial requirements.
