The Singapen (Lioness/Brave Woman) team from the Tirunelveli District Police conducted an awareness program for female students at PET Engineering College on 23.07.2026 During this event, details regarding women's safety, self-confidence, and ways to seek emergency assistance were elaborately explained. Furthermore, students were briefed on the objective of the Singappen scheme, its importance, and how to utilize its services.
Following this, an interactive session was held with the students, where the team provided clear answers and explanations to their doubts. They also clearly explained how to use the emergency helpline number 1098 and the Kavalan Help App.
This program was well-received by the female students and proved to be highly useful in enhancing awareness about women's safety and boosting their self-confidence.
