The 28th College Day, PETFEST 2026, was Celebrated on 15th April 2026 with great enthusiasm and grandeur, providing a vibrant platform for students to show case their talents. The function commenced with a warm welcome address delivered by Mrs. Bagavathylekshmi Ammal, HOD, Department of English, setting an inspiring tone for the evening. The chief guest was formally introduced by Assistant Professor Mrs. S. Remadevi. The event was presided over by Prof. P. O. J. Lebba, Chairman of the Governing Council, Popular Educational Trust. The occasion was graced by the presence of the Managing Trustees Mr. S. Mohamed Farook along with Mr. S. Khaja Mohideen,Secretary and Mr. K. Mohamed Abdul Razak, Treasurer of the Popular Educational Trust. The Principal Dr. K. Madhan Kumar, Dean Dr. S. Tharvish Mohideen, graced the occasion with their esteemed presence. The Chief Guest, Mr. M. K. Senthilkumar, Founding Director and Board Member of the Manal Foundation, delivered an inspiring address. He appreciated the institution for providing valuable opportunities to students and emphasized the importance of skills and attitude over mere certifications for employability. He further encouraged students to remain consistent, continue learning, and be prepared to face global competition. The annual report for the academic year 2025-2026, high lighting the remarkable achievements of students and staff, was presented in an engaging visual format. The celebration was further enriched by captivating performances from celebrity singers Mr.Sam Vishal and Ms.Srinisha, which enthralled the audience and added vibrancy to the event. Outstanding students were honoured for their academic excellence. Mr. Ganesan of the EEE Department, Miss. Uma Maheswari of the AI Department were conferred with the prestigious titles "GEM of PET Boy" and "GEM of PET Girl" respectively, in recognition of their all-round performance. PETFEST 2026 was a grand success owing to the dedicated efforts of the organizing coordinators Dr. T. Rajajeyaseelan, HOD of the Mechanical Engineering, and b>Dr. Mohamed Usman, HOD of Civil Engineering. The programme was efficiently coordinated and organized by Assistant Professors Mr. Mohamed Peer Matharsha of the Mechanical Department and Mrs. Reshmaraj of the Civil Department. The event concluded on a high note with the formal vote of thanks expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the celebration. |
