The Departments of Computer Science Engineering and Artificial Intelligence & Data Science jointly organized an SME Talk titled "Cloud and AI in Action – Inside the Journey of an IT Organization" on 4th August 2026. The programme was presided over by Dr. K. Madhan Kumar, Principal, PET Engineering College. Mr. S. Khaja Mohideen, Secretary, and Dr. S. Tharvish Mohideen, Dean (Academic), PET Group of Institutions, felicitated the programme. The program commenced with the welcome address delivered by S. Jerin, II Year M. E. The Chief Guest, Mr. A. Mohamed Jaffer Ali, General Manager & Practice Head for Cloud & DevOps at Naviq, was introduced by A. Gnana Dino, IV Year AI & DS. The Chief Guest delivered an informative session on Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence, AWS cloud services, virtualization, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and career opportunities in the IT industry. He also explained the importance of continuous learning, communication skills, confidence, and discipline for building a successful career in the software industry. The session was interactive, and students actively clarified their doubts regarding cloud technologies and industry expectations. The programme was jointly coordinated by Mrs. C. Fatima Selvi, AP/CSE, Mrs. E. Denisha, AP/CSE, and Ms. S. P. Abirami, AP/AI&DS under the guidance of Dr. S. Baburengarajan, HOD/CSE and Dr. T. Thanya, HOD/AI&DS. Faculty members from both departments actively participated and contributed to the successful organization of the event. The seminar concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Elza Melif , AP/CSE, who expressed her gratitude to the Management, Principal, Chief Guest, Heads of the Departments, coordinators, faculty members, and students for their valuable support and participation, making the programme a grand success. |
