The department of Computer Applications conducted fresher's day to welcome the new students marking the beginning of an exciting chapter in their lives and setting the tone of their college journey on 05/09/2024. Ms. Aishya Raihana of II MCA welcomed the gathering. The Principal Dr. Madhan Kumar K in his introductory speech briefed about the developing the skills to enter into a successful entrepreneurial arena. The secretary in his address reiterated that the world cannot function without IT. The treasurer Mr. S M Jamaludeen greeted and congratulated students for choosing the Institution. The Managing Trustee Mr. Shahul Hameed felicitated the gathering.
The guest of honour Dr. James Daniel (former Principal, Scott Christian College) delivered an inspiring and motivational speech. He urged the young students to adopt seven important principles to attain success in life. Initially it is imperative that one should be thorough he learn and internalize whatever he learns. He emphasized that every student should be unique and do things differently from others, developing communication skills, hard work and upholding values coupled with simplicity reverence and gratitude to parents, teachers and the Alma mater would fulfill the purpose of his life.
His speech being peppered with anecdotes from mythology enthralled the audience. Several entertainment programs were also conducted to add feast to the eyes and ears of the audience. The program was organized by the head of the department Dr. J Sybi Cynthia.
