A National Level Technical Symposium C-Electra was organized by the Departments of CSE, AI & DS, ECE, CIVIL, MECH & EEE in association with the Institution of Engineers INDIA at PET Engineering College, 13.02.2026. Ms. Aniket, Second Year, Department of CIVIL, welcomed the gathering. Ms. Uma Maheswari of III AI & DS department gave a brief introduction about C- Electra. Mr. Thanish Ahamed A of III EEE department recited Quirath. Dr. K. Madhan Kumar, in his presidential address, highlighted the theme "Innovation Thinking" and encouraged students to specialize in emerging fields like AI, renewable energy, and semiconductors. He urged them to utilize growing national investments and contribute to India’s technological advancement.

The management trustee Mr. S. Mohamed Farook, The Secretary Mr. S. Khaja Mohideen, Treasurer Mr. K. Mohamed Razak, Dr. S. Tharvish Mohideen, Dean felicitated the gathering. The secretary Mr. S. Khaja Mohideen instructed the students about the changing market conditions and the impact of AI on the IT industry. He advised students to continuously upgrade their skills and adapt to evolving technological trends. The Dean highlighted on how technological advancement has changed mankind’s livelihood. Mr. Joseph Reno of III MECH department introduced the Chief Guest to the audience.

The resource person Mr. S. M. Kumar District Science Officer, District Science Centre, National Council of Science Museums Ministry Culture, Govt. of India, Kokkirakulam, Tirunelveli district, emphasized that innovation stems from strong basic research and an entrepreneurial mindset, encouraging students to think from fundamentals and transform ideas into practical solutions. He highlighted the growing importance of digitalization, data science, smart grids, advanced power systems, earthquake-resistant infrastructure, and modern communication technologies in shaping India’s future. He also motivated participants to stay curious and proactive, stating that continuous learning and strategic planning are key to national development and technological self-reliance.

The resource person Mr. S. M. Kumar received the first copy of the proceedings. Several contests like Paper presentation, Code Debugging, Hogwarts(Quiz), Mind Marathonand other competitions were held. Altogether more than 150 students from various institutions participated in the symposium. The winners and runners of several contests were given prizes and certificates. The overall shield was bagged by Nellai College of Engineering. Ms. S. Abinaya, IV ECE Department proposed the vote of thanks. The symposium inspired participants to focus on originality, research, and innovation, motivating them to contribute towards a technologically advanced and self-reliant India.
