The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering & Research and Development Cell organized an Orientation program on the topic Are You Aspiring for a Government Career on 27th August 2021, Ms. S. Harini, Final year ECE delivered the welcome address, Dr. K. Madhan Kumar, Principal presided over the program. The Resource person Mrs. S. Rajeshwari, Training Officer (Group B Gazette), National Skill Training Institute(W), Trichy, (DGT) gave a detailed presentation on the different stages involved to get hold of a good career. She insisted that crucial planning and hard work play a pivotal role in achieving the goal. Also, she elucidated on the different cadres of government exams like UPSC, SSC, TNPSC, RRB,IBPS which all are interlinked. She also emphasized that consistent preparation adhering to the syllabus would definitely help the candidate to make his/her dream come true. Further, the resource person instructed that the students may keep abreast of the current affairs and make it mandatory to read employment news so as to gain awareness about the various job opportunities available in the Central Government and State Government sectors. The program was highly informative and nearly 63 students and 10 staff participated in it. It was an interactive session where the students and faculty put forth their queries. Ms. A.
