The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, PET ENGINEERING COLLEGE conducted a webinar on
Industry Connect dated 9th October 2021. The webinar starts by 10.00 am, Mrs. R. Kalaiselvi, HOD/EEE welcomed the gathering and given a short introduction about the Chief guest Mr. T. Sri Ramkumar, System Engineer, General Electrical Power Conversion India Ltd, Chennai, Tamilnadu, & our Alumni (Batch 2011 - 2015) EEE. Nearly Forty Five students from Dept. of EEE registered & joined the webinar. The major topics discussed in the program are:
- Areas Should Focus; (Power Electronics/ Drives , Power System / Machines / Switchgear, Control System/ Mathematics/ DSP, HVDC IF ACTS)
- What You Shall Do; (Resume/ CV, Social Media Connectivity, Connect with Industry People, Improve your soft Skills)
- Where We are Now; (Industry, marine, Oil and Gas, Power Plants, Substations, Commissioning, Design, Testing in various domains, Cyber Security OT)
He also shared his personal experience at the initial start of his career and the difficulties he faced during the early stage; by final he gives some list of companies to students to start up the career in the field of Electrical Engineering. Finally, our final year student Mr. Abdul Sabeek thanked the gathering. The point shared by the
guest was effective and useful for the students to start the career with Industry. The sessions were more interactive and successfully ended with feedback at 12.30 pm. |
