A one day workshop on Total Station was held on 1st March 2018 by the Department of Civil Engineering, PET Engineering College, Vallioor in association with FACEAT & P. Mrs. P. Jane Angeline, Head of the Civil Engineering Department welcomed the gathering and introduced the Resource Person, Dr. Karuppasamy Sudalaimuthu, Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, Anna University Regional Campus, Tirunelveli. The Civil Engineering Students, PETEC and the Students of D.C.E, PET Poly Technic College, Vallioor were the participants. The basic concepts of Total Station were discussed. Field Training was also arranged for the students within the college campus.
This workshop provided an opportunity for the students to explore the path for their career towards the advanced technology in the field of surveying. Mr. Shahul Hameed, Treasurer, PET Educational Trust felicitated the gathering. Certificates were distributed to the student participants by the resource person. Mr. T. M. Mohamed Usman, Assistant Professor of the department of Civil Engineering, PETEC proposed the vote of thanks.
