A National Level Technical Symposium was organized by the department of Mechanical and Civil Engineering on 26.09.2019. Mr. Raize Mohammed of final year delivered the welcome address. Dr. N. Mohammed Sheriff, the Principal presided over the function. The Principal in his address emphasized that it is imperative that every individual should mould his skill to be a better human being and earn respect in the society. Ms. Rubesha of third Civil Engineering introduced the chief guest to the audience. Prof. S. Sidhardhan, Vice Principal and Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, Government College of Engineering Tirunelveli was the chief guest for the event. The chief guest in his address insisted that Engineers should realize their real role and utilize their potential for the benefit of the society. Further, he emphasized that an engineer who has sound technical knowledge, good practical training coupled with communication skills can accomplish accolades in life. The Secretary, Mr. S. Khaja Mohideen felicitated the gathering. Many technical and non technical events were conducted to unleash the technical and artistic skills of the students. Students from various colleges participated in the symposium.
Prizes and certificates were distributed to the participants and winners who had taken part in the events. Ms. Haifa Fathima of final year Civil Engineering proposed the vote of thanks. Prof. S. Mohamed Peer Matharsha and Prof. R. Stalin from Mechanical department and Prof. T. M. Mohamed Usman and Prof. M. A. Jameel Navas made the necessary arrangements for the programme.
