Five days workshop on Revit Architecture

Event Report

Five days Workshop on "Revit Architecture" was organized by the Department of Civil Engineering, PET Engineering College, Vallioor from 28-08-2017 to 01-09-2017. Ms. M. Muthulakshmi, Draftsman, CAD Center, Vallioor was the resource person for this workshop. 45 students of final year civil and 41 students of third year civil and 35 students of second year civil had attended the workshop, altogether 121 student of Civil department participated.

Mr. Logeshwaran. K, Final year student of Civil Department welcomed the dignitaries and the participants. Prof. P. Jane Angeline, Head of the Department introduced the resource person. Dr. N. Mohamed Sheriff, Principal, PET Engineering College, delivered the inaugural address and handed over the session to the resource person. The resource person started the session with the introduction of the software followed by she explained the need of the software. On the following days she gave an elaborate explanation of 2D and 3D drawing with practical implementation. The students enthusiastically participated in the hands on session.

The valedictory function was held on 01.09.2017. Our honorable Principal Dr. N. Mohamed Sheriff, Prof. Vijayalakshmi Head of the Department and Mr. S. Saravanan, Assistant Professor, Civil Department were presided the valedictory function. Participants expressed their experiences in the workshop. The resource person, the Principal and the HOD distributed the certificates to the participants. The function ended with vote of thanks by Ms. Ramya. G, Final year student of Civil Department who expressed his gratitude towards all the dignitaries, participants and all other helping hands, which contributed towards the success of the event.

Objective of the Program

  • The objective of this workshop is to enable students to create 3D architectural project models and make them familiar with tools of Revit Architecture.

Program Outcome

  • Student will learn to develop higher-quality, more accurate architectural designs.
  • Use tools specifically built to support Building Information Modeling workflows.
  • Students will learn to capture and analyze concepts, and maintain your vision through design, documentation, and construction.
