The 22nd College Day Function was celebrated with pomp and gaiety on 06th March 2020 at PET Engineering College, Vallioor. Prof. P. O. J. Lebba, the Chairman of the College Governing Council presided over the function and delivered the presidential address. Mr. Haja Mohideen, Managing Trustee, Mr. S. Khaja Mohideen, S. M. Jamaludeen, Treasurer, Dr. K Madhan Kumar, the Principal of the College felicitated the gathering. The annual report was presented the in a visual format which glorified the achievements of staff and students in the academic year 2019 – 2020. Dr. A. Suriliandi, Controller of Examination, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, was the chief guest for the function. In his chief guest address, he insisted that hard work and undaunting spirit will enable one to achieve success. He reiterated to that engineering students should try to be innovative, think differently and aim to become entrepreneurs.
A gala of cultural events entertained the audience and soaked everyone in a celebrative and festive mood. The university rank holders, the class toppers and the winners of cultural events were given prizes. The teachers were also honoured and acknowledged.
Nadar Vivek Raja of Mechanical department and S. Nazrin Banu of CSE were conferred with highest award GEM of PET Boy and GEM of PET Girl.
The necessary arrangements were made by Mr. Mohamed Peer Matharsha S, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Mrs. C Rekha Assistant Professor of Electronics and Communication department.
