A Career guidance program on "An Outlook of Oil and Gas Industry in 2022" was jointly conducted by the department of Mechanical Engineering and Training and placement cell on 18/08/2022. Dr. T. Rajajeyaseelan, HOD/MECH welcomed the gathering. Dr.K.Madhan Kumar, the Principal presided over the program and introduced the chief guest, Mr. B. Anto Pratheesh (Alumni 2015), Mechanical Engineer, Al Raha Mechanical Equipments, Abu dhabi to the audience . In his address, the resource person started the session by explaining how oil and gas is produced from wells. Then he explained the refinery process of oil extraction from well and he listed out the production and Manufacturing companies of oil and gas world wide.
Finally he advised to the students how to grab opportunities in oil and gas Industry. The guest speaker motivated the students to shape their career and develop skills like decision making, interpersonal skills, team spirit and all other skills needed to survive and achieve success in their working atmosphere. Nearly 28 students of final year mechanical attended the program. The program ended with the vote of thanks proposed by Mr. M. Poovaragan, AP/Mechanical. The program was coordinated by Mr. J. Karthick AP/ Mechanical Engineering.
