Vetripadigai programme was organized by PET Engineering College, Vallioor for the + 2 students of Cheranmahadevi Educational District. This programme was conducted in accordance to the direction given by the Director of School Education. Nearly 1800 Students from 26 Schools of the District and 80 teachers attended this progamme. Dr. N. Mohamed Sheriff, the Principal of the College welcomed the gathering. District Educational Officer Mr. Y. Jeyaraj was the chief guest for the programme. He emphasised that it is quintessential for students to have goals for achieving success and added that it is perseverance which propels us to be victorious in life. Mr. Chockalingam, Mr. Surendar, Mr. Manivannan, Mr. Raja Singh and Mr. Suresh, veterans in the field of Mathematics, Computer Science, Chemistry, Physics and Biology were the resource persons for the programme. They offered guidelines for scoring high marks in the public examination. Dr. C. Eugine Frango, HOD of Commerce, St. Xavier’s College, Palayamkottai, stressed the importance of planning by saying that systematic and concerted efforts are needed to attain success in life. Prof. John Kennedy, Principal of St. John’s College, Palayamkottai, motivated the students by saying that constant vigilance and preparedness to work is the price the students have to pay for attaining success in life. Abdullateef Sheik Uthman, the Correspondent of PET Group of Institutions, Prof. J.Gandhiraman, Principal of PET Polytechnic College and Prof. Femila Josephin, Principal of PET College of Teacher Education, Rotarian Royal Subramanian, Assistant Governor, Rotary Club of Venuvanam, Tirunelveli, Rotarian S.M.S. Hameed, President, Rotary Club of Twin City and Rotaian Su Sankar felicitated the students. Prof. S. Babu Rengarajan, HOD of Computer Science and Engineering Department made necessary arrangements for the programme. |
