Alumni Meet - May 2016 of PET Engineering College was held at Bangalore on 21st May 2016. Nearly 100 Alumni employed in various national and multi-national companies in and around Bangalore and Mysore attended the programme. Mrs. A. Haseena Beevi, Treasurer, PET Alumni Association welcomed the gathering. Prof. P.O.J. Lebba, the Chairman of our College Governing Council delivered the presidential address. He said that they should shine in their career and bring laurels to the institution. The Principal Dr. N. Mohamed Sheriff and the Correspondent Prof. S. Abubucker felicitated the gathering. The Principal said that the students must make use of the opportunities and climb up the ladder of success. He further said that they must guide the juniors with regard to the ways and means in which they have to equip themselves to survive in this competitive world. Mr. Shinu Abdulkarim (IBM,Bangalore), who was a 2002 batch alumni and President of Alumni Association, explained in detail about the working environment that prevail in IT industry and shared his experiences. He gave assurance to provide the placement activities and the necessary guidance to the juniors. The alumni of the College took part in the Meet with enthusiasm and shared their fond memories of the alma mater by explaining the ways in which the Institution had helped them to prosper in their career.
Dr. D. Pushpa Ranjini, Professor of CSE Department and Convener of Alumni Association interacted with the alumni and noted their valuable suggestions. Mr. M. Nivas, Vice President of Alumni Association proposed vote of thanks. |
