Alumni Meet – September 2014 of PET Engineering College was held at MGM Beach Resort, Chennai on 27st September 2014. Nearly 100 Alumni employed in various national and multi-national companies in and around Chennai attended the programme.
Mrs. Rekha, Vice president, PET Alumni Association welcomed the gathering. The Principal Dr. N. Mohamed Sheriff delivered the Presidential address and the Correspondent Prof. S. Abubucker felicitated the gathering. Dr.S.Sharmila Deva Selvi, Research consultant, Microsoft Research India (Pvt.) Limited, Bangalore, who was a 2002 batch alumni & Mr.Muthuraj, Manager - R & D, Wheels India Ltd., TVS group, Chennai who was a 2005 batch alumni were the chair-persons.
They explained in detail about the working environments and shared their experiences. They gave assurance to provide the placement activities and guidance to our college. Similarly other alumni also shared their thoughts, especially Mr. Arul Selvan - 2003 batch, Project Leader, CTS, MEPZ, Chennai, Mr. Syed Irfan Ahamed - 2007 batch, Design Engineer, TATA Consultancy Services, Chennai, Mr.Karthikeyan - 2005 batch, Senior Engineer, Motherson Techno Tools Ltd., Noida and Mr. Subharajan. R. S - 2005 Batch, Assistant Manager, WABCO India Ltd., Chennai, Mrs. Benit Amala - 2009 batch, Project Engineer, PRODEX Technologies, Chennai discussed about the job opportunities that await the students. They ensured that they would arrange some placement activities in our college.
