A National level virtual mode Technical symposium was held at PET Engineering college on 17th September 2021. Dr. T. Rajajeyaseelan, HOD / Mechanical delivered the welcome address. The Principal Dr. K. Madhan Kumar presided over the function. In his presidential address he enumerated that the symposium proved to be learnable forum for the budding engineers. He appreciated the efforts of the departments for conducting such a program Mr. S. Khaja Mohideen, the secretary in his felicitation gave an overview about the progress of our nation and the various opportunities available in India.
Mr. M. Syed Mohamed, Managing Trustee, Mr. S. M. Jamaludeen, Treasurer graced the program. Mrs. Bagavathy Lakshmi Ammal, HOD/ English introduced the chief guest Dr. S. Rajkumar, Assistant Professor, HOD, Mechanical Engineering, Anna University Regional Campus, TVL to the audience. The chief guest delivered the key note address. He said that getting a degree or an impressive GPA score through rote learning does not produce creative minds. The need of the day and the demand of the job market is skilled engineers abreast with information regarding recent and innovative trends in their respective arena. It was then followed by various technical and non-technical events like paper presentation CAD modelling, photomania, shortz (Tik-Tok) short film and connexion.
A total of 162 students participated in various events. The winners and runners of several contests were given cash awards and E-certificates. The vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. M. Petchikkan , HOD, Civil Engineering. The program was co-ordinated by Assistant Professors Mr. S. Mohamed Peer Matharsha of Mechanical Engineering and V. Ruban Daniel of Civil Engineering.
