The 19th College Day was celebrated on 5th April 2017 at PET Engineering College, Vallioor. Mr.A Mohamed Jaffer the Secretary of the College welcome the gathering and delivered the presidential address. Dr. N. Mohamed Sheriff, the Principal of the College presented the annual report of the year 2016-2017. Mr. Arun Ramachandran Nair Lead Consultant Infosys Technologies Ltd, Thiruvananthapuram was the chief guest for the function. He emphasised the students that entrepreneurship skills are to succeed in life. National S.M.S. Hameed, the Managing Trustee offered felicitation. Mr. Shahul Hameed M A, Treasurer presented the memento to the chief guest. Vibin Ravikumar, a third year Mechanical Engineering student and H. Ahamed Banu, a third year Electronics and Communication Engineering student were honoured with the most prestigious awards of the college GEM of PET Boy and GEM of PET Girl. Awards were also given to the best outgoing students of each Department. Prizes were given to the University rank holders, academic toppers, and to the students who won prizes in various cultural and literary events. Prizes were also given to the staff who produced exemplary results in the Anna University examinations.
