Vetripadigal programme was jointly organized by PET Engineering College, Vallioor and Puthiya Thalaimurai on Nov 7th 2019 for the +2 students of Cheranmahadevi Educational District. This programme was conducted in accordance to the direction given by the Chief Educational Officer. Nearly 1500 students from 30 Schools of the District and 80 teachers attended this programme. The Managing Trustee, of Popular Educational Trust Mr. N. Haja Mohideen, presided over the function and delivered the presidential address. Dr. N. Mohamed Sheriff, the Principal of the College welcomed the gathering. Mr. S. Khaja Mohideen, Secretary, Popular Educational Trust, Mr. S. M. Jamaludeen, Treasurer, Popular Educational Trust, Mr. R. Kamaraj, Principal, PET polytechnic College, Dr. J. S. Eebila Josephin, felicitated the gathering. Dr. I. Jegan “Ilaya Abdul Kalam”, Self Confident Speaker was the chief guest for the programme. Motivational speaker Dr. I. Jegan, who has been honored with the title ‘Ilaya Abdul Kalam’ by Kalam book of world records motivated the students touching upon the various aspects of life interspersed with humour and interesting anecdotes. His zealous speech on the value of parents, teachers, ethics of life, friendship, mother tongue, education and other topics inspired, exhilarated, kindled and ignited the hearts of nearly 1500 students. He emphasized that life is full of challenges and one could earn respect and success in life by overcoming those challenges through hard work and dedication. He asserted that poverty can be alleviated only through proper education and churning one’s special skills.
He affirmed that students should not go where the path may lead but should go instead where there is no path and leave a trail. He insisted that every student is obliged to understand the parental love which is unconditional, selfless and peerless. His mind blowing speech kept the audience spell bound. He also appreciated the sincere efforts taken by the institution which focuses on the moulding students rather than merely adorning the college.
Veterans in the field of Mathematics, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry, Mr. Manoj Babu, Mr.R. Venkata Narasimman, Mrs. Malar Vizhi, Mr. Manivannan were the resource persons for the programme. They offered guidelines to score high marks in the public examination and come out with flying colours in their +2 examination.
Mr. D. Raja, Manager, Puthiya Thalaimurai proposed the vote of thanks. Mr. Alwin Joe, HOD of Mechanical Engineering and Dr. K. Madan Kumar HOD of Electronics and communications Engineering made necessary arrangements for the programme. |
