The 72nd republic day function was celebrated at PET Engineering College, Vallioor to remember the day when constitution of India come into effect after India gained freedom after a long struggle. The Principal Dr. K. Madhan Kumar presided over the function and unfurled the National tricolor flag. In his presidential address he enumerated on the history of Republic day. Mr. M Syed Mohamed, Managing Trustee, Mr. S Khaja Mohideen, Secretary and Mr. S M Jamaludeen, Treasurer conveyed their Republic day wishes. Everyone pledged not to forget the rich heritage of the country. Mr. Petchikkan, HOD Civil department and other staff members administered the pledge.
