The 20th Freshers Day was celebrated on 21st September 2017 at PET Engineering College, Vallioor. Dr. N. Mohamed Sheriff, the Principal of the College welcomed the gathering and introduced the HODs to the audience. Prof. P.O.J. Lebba, Governing Council Chairman of the College was the chief guest for the Programme. He instilled confidence in the minds of the students by saying that ample opportunities are available for the technocrats and it is the duty of the students to acquire the skills that are needed for it. Mr.S.M.S Hameed, the Managing Trustee of Popular Educational Trust felicitated the gathering by saying that the Trust is very keen in rendering educational service to the society and stressed that profit is not their motive. Mr.A.Mohamed Jaffar, the Secretary of the College said that the students can achieve lofty position in life if they have faith in God and respect for parents and teachers.
Prof S. Abubucker, the Trustee of Popular Educational Trust cited himself as a precedent who has reached the pinnacle of success by occupying various positions in his career such as Lecturer in Government Engineering College, and as Principal, Dean and Correspondent in PET Engineering College. The first year students, their parents and Professors attended the meeting. Mr.P. Anvar Kasim the First Year Coordinator proposed vote of thanks. |
