The Silver Jubilee Athletic Meet for school students was held at PET Engineering College on 28/01/23. Students from different schools in and around the district participated in the event. The Principal Dr. K. Madhan Kumar presided over the function. The meet was declared open by the Chief Guest Mr. Stephen GR Jose, Inspector of Police, Vallioor. several athletic events like 100m, 200m, 400m, 800, 1500m, run, long jump, shot put, javelin throw, discus throw, 4 x 100m relay were held to prove the athletic prowess of the students. The event was graced by management team and the Principals of the sister institutions. All the winners were awarded and appreciated by the dignitaries. Scaling the overall championship, the first place was won by Harvard Hi Tech metric Higher Secondary School, Kuthenkulam, the second place was won by Vivekananda Kendra metric higher secondary school, Vallioor and the third place was won by St. Kitheri Ammal Higher secondary school, Kuthenkuzhi. Further, on the basis of individual score for men Eugine Jeffry of Harvard matric Higher Secondary School, Yuvarathan of Vivekananda metric Higher Secondary School, Vallioor and Ajith Raja of Govt., Higher Secondary School, Vallioor were jointly declared as winners of individual championship for men and Yancy of St. Kitheri Ammal Higher Secondary School was selected as the individual champion for women. The event was organized under the steermanship of Mrs. S. I. Padma, ASP/ECE and Mr. Savari Simon Chinnappa, the Physical Director. |
